Remember way back when I wrote one of my first Sing it, Sister reviews about Happy Bellies Baby food? Well GUESS WHAT?! I have been given the opportunity to not only try out their entire line of products, but I also have a stack of vouchers to hand out to you guys! I really wanted my first giveaway to be something that I believe in and support, and low and behold I got my chance.
I was
Tonight, I made J & Z the Happy Bites Veggie Tots. for dinner. I figured they wouldn't want our mushroom risotto (surprise! They absolutely did NOT), so we went out and found these:

They look so good, right? The little cartoon "Chui the Cheetah" on the box was extra inciting for J, so I was really hoping these would go over well on his dinner plate as well. Toddlers in general are pretty darn picky and my son is at the top of that list- so I was a little nervous about introducing these to him. He dug 'em and cleaned his plate. AMAZING. They are gluten free and contain organic potatoes, carrots, corn, red peppers, black beans, eggs, cheese and spices. Their consistency when baked in the oven is perfect- slightly crispy on the outside and soft and warm on the inside. It's so nice to know that they are getting orgainic veggies on an "easy dinner" night. Even Z loved them. She's is at the stage where she tastes something and throws the rest on the ground, but she got in a few good bites. That is saying a lot.
I recently tried their Happy Baby food Simple Puree's for babies six months and up. There are several varieties including Yes Peas + Thank You Carrots, Smarter Squash + Wiser Apple, and Sweeter Potatoes + Purer Pear. We tried the Yes Peas + Thank You Carrots. The carrots are simply pureed, steamed carrots while the Peas are actually steamed with a hint of mint to soothe colic. Z happens to LOVE peas and carrots, and these were no exception. They defrost in the microwave and become a thicker consistency then regular jarred baby food, but not so think that it's pasty. I'm having a difficult time getting Z to take anything from a spoon, but every once in a while she is game.
Some of their other pureed Smooth Combos: 7+ months: Grrreat Greens + Easy Going Greens:NOW WITH DHA. Grrreat Greens have organic pears, organic spinach, organic mango, and DHA algal oil. The Easy Going Greans consist of organic green beans, organic peas, water necessary for cooking, organic brown rice, DHA algal oil. I personally would never take the time to make these at home, so the option to buy frozen greens like this is great. They are packed with vitamin C.
And for the older babies; Sorta Chunky: 9+ months Baby Dhal (organic red lentils, organic potatoes, organic carrots, organic olive oil, organic cinnamon and organic coriander, DHA algal oil) + Mama Grain with DHA (organic bananas, organic quinoa, organic black beans, DHA algal oil)
• Chick Chick (organic peas, organic spinach, organic butternut squash,
organic chicken, water, organic sweet potato, organic zucchini, organic brown rice)
• Gobble Gobble (organic potato, organic sweet potato, organic turkey, organic butternut squash, organic apple, organic millet, organic prune, organic oregano, organic garlic powder) + Paradise Purée (organic bananas, organic mango, organic peaches, organic amaranth)
• Super Salmon (organic potato, organic sweet potato, organic carrots, organic french lentils, wild salmon, organic coconut oil( + Regular Prunes (organic peaches, organic prunes, organic oats, organic brown rice).
I had to list all of the ingredients for each combo because have you ever seen such amazing combination's in baby food?! Me neither. The best part is you know the food is loaded with yummy, organic ingredients and packaged in earth friendly containers. I, for one, am a huge fan. Can you tell?

I loved your passionate review of baby food! I am going to go out and try to find some of these for Emmy. She's 13mo and I have a hard time getting her to eat veggies. These look so good though that hopefully she'll dig right in!
