Stroller Obsession: Britax B-Ready (& a Giveaway!)

You all probably know this by now, but I have a small issue.  Since moving to Manhattan I have become completely obsessed with strollers.  You see, our strollers here in the city are like our “cars”.  They are our mode of transportation, and they must be fantastic.  They need to feel luxurious without the leather or fancy rims, and drive like a Range Rover over the uneven pavement.  They must accommodate my coffee, a diaper bag, two bags of groceries, the Potette Potty, a Mini Kick Razor Scooter, two toddlers and at least a couple of toys.  I’m not kidding. This is a typical day for us.

I’ve been on my quest now for a year to find the perfect city stroller.  I’ve found myself stranded in the rain pumping flat tires, stuck in the snow with wheels that were too small, unable to get into grocery stores (size), and mending ripped seats.

When the Britax B-Ready arrived at my apartment, I was over the moon.  I was more excited about this stroller than I was on Christmas morning, and it’s surpassed my expectations.  It’s been a dream to have around the city.

As soon as I got it assembled, I took the kids out for a spin to the farmer’s market.  They both promptly fell asleep at 10:30AM (usually they nap at 1:00PM).

I love that it’s in-line, I don’t have to worry about flat tires, both kids are very comfortable in the large seats, they can both sleep comfortably and I can carry all my gear and STILL push with one hand.

It weighs roughly 26 lbs with one seat and no canopy, while the second seat weighs 7 lbs.  It’s a little heavy to carry up and down the subway steps but it didn’t stop me.    If it works in the city, you can pretty much bet that it will work most other places.

We started our family with Britax car seats and strollers and it’s absolutely a go-to, trustworthy brand. I have been thrilled with the performance of the Britax B-Ready.
