I am aware that it’s technically Spring. I’m going to go ahead and call it whatever I want until it starts acting as it should. If it looks like a grump, and feels like a grump, well then… it’s probably Winter in April.
Jack and Zoe have started riding their scooters to preschool and back, which is pretty awesome since they get exercise and get to school in a decent amount of time. Never mind the slight heart attacks I have on the way, but they listen well fortunately. It’s something new we’ve added to the routine and it’s opened up a whole new world for them. They love the independence.
During one of our “at home” days during Jack’s spring break, we had exhausted every indoor option we could find; Play Doh, painting, Legos, baking. Everything.
On our way to the grocery store-when all hope for an activity was lost-our doorman surprised us with a package. Knowing I wouldn’t make it to the store and back with a big box, we tore into it in the lobby.
The amazing thing about having toddlers is being able to distract them with neat things so that they forget that they are stuck inside again, or wear their jackets and mittens again. A little distraction and it’s as though the sky is blue, the birds are chirping, and the grass is green and soft enough to roll around in.
These beautiful crowns helped distract us from our routine and spruced up our imaginations a little. I imagine they will accompany us to preschool, to the pediatrician, to the post office, and to the green market as well.
How do you stay busy indoors during bad weather?
I was given two crowns, one barrette and one headband to facilitate my post/review from lizzie, izzie & james. I was not compensated in any other way, and all opinions are my own.
