Spotlight on Tea Collection (Giveaway!)

As my children get older, finding clothing for them has changed. It’s fairly easy to find cute and decently priced baby clothes, and with as fast as they grow out of them it’s not nearly as challenging. I didn’t expect that across the board I would have an easier time finding boy clothes that we both like and a nearly impossible time with girl clothes- especially as she gets older.
I’m very picky when it comes to what my kids wear… As much if not more so than the clothing I wear myself. At a certain point in my life, I realized that I wouldn’t be using my education in fashion design and merchandising for a career, but it is pretty clear that I do still have quite a passion for it. I care about the quality of the pieces that they wear, and I care what it looks like.
This all means that when I do find a brand that I like, I’m fiercely loyal. If the clothing looks great even after several washes, and it doesn’t take any real fussing on my part when it comes to laundry, I’m willing to spend more-especially if the pieces are easily interchangeable.
Of course, the clothes have to be super cute, too. Not too sweet, not too grown up, not trendy and not overproduced.
Enter Tea Collection.
This brand has completely surprised me in the best way. The pieces are vibrant, super soft, unique, and exceptional in quality. My very favorite part about the line though, is they all find a way of matching each other-which makes it easy when I’m struggling to get three little kids dressed for school and out the door by 8:00 AM every day.
Zoe is wearing the Twirl Party Dress with Sparkle Stripe Leggings (Jacket by Zara, boots by Primigi)
Beau is wearing Super Side Stripe Pants with the Alpine Hoodie.
These top photos were taken just before Zoe went to preschool. The photos below were taken as part of a holiday shoot. That is what I really love about this collection-it all looks nice no matter what we’re doing! Parenthood always appreciates versatility.
Jack and Beau are wearing the Star Holiday Two Piece Set, Jack paired with the Scandi Stripe Sweater Vest, Beau paired with the Snowy Monster Tee.
In this photo, Zoe is wearing the Star Gazer Party Dress with the Sparkle Stripe Leggings. Winter coats both by Appaman.
Tea Collection was founded in San Francisco (another reason why I love them-my babies have been wearing it since day one since easy to find it in the Bay Area), and each collection is inspired by an international location and by the essence of travel itself.
The fabrics are unbelievably soft, don’t shrink, and are pretty accurately sized. You always know when you order what you’re going to get.
Win it!
I’m thrilled to be giving away a gift card to Tea Collection for $150 to one of you!

Quality is most important to me! It drives me nuts when clothes rip or get holes after just a few wears.

The most important thing when shopping for kids clothes is making sure they are durable. I hate it when my kids come home from school with ripped knees, although it does make me happy that they had such a good time playing.

My first baby is due in February but I already have some (neutral) Tea Collection pieces waiting for him or her. Right now I’m all about items that are soft and feel like they can hold up to numerous washings!

Currently the most important thing is my daughter’s comfort, but style isn’t too far behind. Yes Collection clothing looks to fit both those requirements easily.

I would say comfort (and style). I don’t like to put my girls in jeans if we’re going on a 2 hour car ride!

Comfort (and cuteness)!
I look for things that are not too expensive, will last as long as possible and grow with my son a little bit, and so far I’ve been able to avoid big, obnoxious graphics!
With 3 girls to shop for I can completely relate to the increased challenge as they move from infants to toddlers to girls sizes. I look for quality vs quantity and a good fit. I haven’t tried Tea Collection yet, so a gift card would be an excellent way to introduce me to their fabulousness!
I am following you on facebook!
For me, quality is most important! There’s nothing worse than buying clothes and have it fall apart after a few weeks.
I like to choose quality (both in construction and style) vs. quantity. They outgrow clothes fast so I don’t like to spend a whole lot either, but looking good is important and I’m willing to spend a bit more on quality pieces that will fit well and look nice without a lot of work !

Quality is most important. I have 2 girls 18months apart so everything one wears, I want the next to wear the following year. It drive me crazy when clothes look like they are falling apart after a few trips to the park!

The most important thing I look for when shopping for kids’ clothing is that it’s wearable – it needs to be durable and comfortable for my little girls and baby boy. And being super cute doesn’t hurt either. 🙂 megancrose@gmail.com

The most important thing to me is quality, especially in shoes!

I love pieces that can be reused/reworn for years and hold up. It is what I love about tea collection–my daughter is wearing a top today with jeans that she wore as a tunic the year before and a dress the year before that.

most important thing is for the clothing to be stylish and durable
Individuality (I am not a mass produced fan) and fun. My kids are Tea wearers already, especially my son since their pants wear great and he loves the ones “with socks inside” (his description for lined wintery pants). We also love their basic long sleeve tees to wear as a layer 1/2 the year.

Comfort is HUGE in our house. If they kids don’t feel good in it, I can’t get them to wear it. I will pay a little extra money for good quality, comfortable clothes for them, because I want them to be comfortable. I adore the Tea collection and has been one of my go-to brands for Barrett since she was born. Love it.
Quality so they can be used as hand me downs!
Most important is quality – mass-produced has its time and place, but generally clothing that is made in smaller batches will feel better to the touch, be more classic than trendy, and will satisfy both kid and mom.
This box won’t let me paste any links, but I “liked” both your blog
…and Tea on Facebook. (m.s.mellinger)
Quality is the most important to me when I shop for kids clothes.
With a newborn and 3-year old budding fashionista (read picky dresser) I need clothes that are the sizes they should be no matter how many times I wash them, maintain quality how often I wash them and don’t require any special washing instructions. And from my experience the Tea Collection has all three!

I agree – it’s much harder to find stuff you like as they get older and espeically for boys! There just aren’t as many choices, it seems. And yes, it must last through washings, especially with boys – ha! I love Tea as well. And here in the South we especially love their soft and stylish shorts!

I’m a huge Tea fan and when shopping for my kids I look for quality first, and especially like if it’s not super mainstream. And definitelytry to buy to each of my kids’ personalities and preferences (no tags or collars for Gray!)
Steph
Okay I’ll play – durable cute clothes are top on my list but price is hands down the most important. With the exception of a few key pieces (long sleeve cotton nighties, good shoes, quality uniforms) I usually let price determine my purchases.
Quality is the key. I want the clothes to last.

When I shop for my three year old daughter I look for things that are well-made and comfortable above all, unique, and definitely not too girly and not too grown up. Ohh what an exciting giveaway. I love Tea Collection and honestly am able to stuff my almost five year old into her Tea Collection dresses from two years ago (she wears them as tunics)! Clothes have to be comfortable for my littles to actually wear, but I look for uniqueness of design and craftsmanship. Thanks for the chance to win this awesome giveaway and have a beautiful holiday.
