Bunny Hoppin’ in Ralph Lauren

Easter has been a tricky holiday around here for the last three years. We used to get dressed up and head to a service at church before going to the grandparent’s houses and hunting for eggs in their yards that we colored with the kids.

We can’t exactly have our own egg hunts outside like we used to do in California, so we hold the hunt in our apartment instead and sometimes attend larger events in our neighborhood. These types of “egg” hunts that are held in our neighborhood generally consist of someone throwing a ton of candy onto a basketball court and letting 100 kids run and try and snatch up a piece. It’s not exactly the sweet, special Easters I had planned on giving my children, but live and learn.

This year we were invited to attend FAO Schwartz’s 22nd annual Bunny Hop, hosted by the Society of Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center and Tiffany & Co. It was a really fun getting dressed up and attending an event at the coolest toy store, and especially supporting the Pediatric Family Housing Endowment, which assists families with the cost of overnight stays associated with their cancer treatment at MSKCC’s Pediatric Department.

Just Jack, Zoe and I attended the Bunny Hop as Beau wasn’t feeling well that night. It was a nice way to spend special time with the big kids though, we all really enjoyed ourselves. The musical performances, face painting, piano dancing and cookie decorating were definitely the most memorable. This year’s event was co-chaired by Alexandra D. Edwards, Nina Garcia Conrad, Melissa Meister and Marcie Pantzer, with Debra Messing serving as Honorary Chairman.

One of my favorite parts of Easter (besides the candy, lets be honest) is the clothing. I love the pastels, pleated pants, dresses, collared shirts and the bonnets-the bonnets are the best. Did you know they have an entire parade here in NYC for people in their Easter Bonnets?

I got to dress the kids up in RL Gang by Ralph Lauren this year for this particular event, and I will be saving them for Easter weekend as well. I love how beautifully classic and well made these clothes are… They almost scream “Perfect Easter Outfits”!

I’m looking forward to having a special last New York City Easter with the kids. It will be meaningful, memorable and fun no matter what we do.

Zoe is wearing the Floral Dress, Flower Straw Hat, and Straw Floral Bag.
Jack is wearing the Classic Cable-Knit Crewneck, Custom-Fit Striped Oxford, and the Slim-Fit Vestry Jeans.
Beau is wearing the Long-Sleeved Plaid Blake Shirt, Classic Cable Vest, and the Preston Pants.

You can see RL Gang by Ralph Lauren’s collection here, and check out Around the World with RL Gang and enter their Pin It To Win It contest to win a dream vacation for your family.

I was not compensated for this post. We received tickets to the Bunny Hop and clothing from Ralph Lauren for purposes of this review. All opinions are my own.

  • I wore Ralph Lauren as a child, and now my child is wearing RL. Hands down still my favorite kids clothes.

  • I hope you don’t mind how I stalk your family.

  • I would be definitely interested in ordering the assorted box of goodies when you have them available
