Hopes and Dreams LiveStream with Kristi Yamaguchi (Today!)

I woke up in a hotel in Times Square, New York City today. It is incredibly good for my heart and soul to revisit, and it hardly feels like I don’t live here any longer. I am here to host an interview on LiveStream today with Kristi Yamaguchi and Smucker’s Uncrustables, talking about back to school and and the ever important conversations with our children about their goals, hopes and dreams.

I jumped at the opportunity to be a part of this project, which is all about opening the conversation with our children about the upcoming school year and what sorts of things they hope to accomplish. I personally can’t wait to see my children blossom in their new school, meeting friends and watching their confidence grow. Zoe will learn to read this year, and Jack will take his love for all things literary to the next level. Plus, it’s always amazing to see how much they thrive while setting and accomplishing personal goals, and learning that there are no limits on what they can do.

Smucker’s Uncrustables is kicking off their Hopes and Dreams Family Photo Promotion, where one lucky family will win a gold medal experience, including a trip to the U.S. Olympics Training Center where top athletes from across the country train as part of Team USA, and a meet and greet with Olympic gold medalist Kristi Yamaguchi.

Now through September 26, parents can visit and “like” the Uncrustables Facebook page and upload a photo that showcases their family’s Unstoppable Hopes and Dreams along with a caption for a chance to be entered to win the Grand Prize. One grand prize winner will be selected via a random drawing from all eligible entries. Smucker’s will also award weekly prizes throughout the duration of the promotion just for entering.

I personally can’t wait to chat with Kristi about what it felt like to win an Olympic Gold Medal-I remember it so clearly, as she was a bit of a hometown hero for us, being from the Bay Area as well.
