Mellow Summer Atmosphere

It’s day four of summer vacation, and I finally feel like we’ve downshifted the soundtrack from the Ramones to a slow and breezy Beck tune.

That could also very well be the calling card of my seventh month of pregnancy, because I feel as though I’m walking through jello most of the time, or at least I wish I was. Either way, the days have been gorgeously sunny and warm and the kids have been happy almost all of the time. We aren’t rushing, we aren’t yelling. We’re casually sauntering through the morning until they go off to VBS camp for a few hours and then playing more together when they come home.

We all get a little fidgety once in a while, but for the most part we’re just enjoying the peace, sunshine and atmosphere as much as possible.

I’m ok with that… Excited even.

But for now, we’ll just be.
