All of Me
At some point, in between the lunches and diapers
the music performances and little league games
nursing and wooden puzzles
searching for lost doll shoes
and cleaning up piles of glitter
I’ll stop and breathe them in and hold them tight.
I won’t let the glory of their years flying by suffocate me with with the pride and tempered aching for their fleeting childhoods.
He’s doing math on a level far, far advanced for his 7 years.
She loves creating and singing, dancing and nail polish.
He’s counting to five.
She’s found her feet.
They are one and their own, but so much a part of each other.
and all of me.
all of us.
My sun, my moon, my stars, my earth. Parenting is so much about absorbing them, and sometimes I need the reminder to just be.

Beautifuly said. My child are grown and I now have grandchildren. And I feel the same way. Thanks for putting it into words. Merry Christmas

So beautiful. You say what I need to remind myself daily. Some moments are so hard, but that’s part if it. You and your awesome family are an inspiration. Thank you for sharing them with us :))
Beautiful pictures and family <3 Happy Holidays! 🙂 xx
By far my FAVORITE post! Inspirational & beautiful family!
I think I’m about two years ahead of you age-wise with the kids. But somewhat in a similar adventure rhythm. It’s wild, isn’t it? Never underestimate the (big!) small things…
Oh yes, it is good to be mindful about stopping to take it all in (and smell the top of that infant head. Heavenly!) Here is a preview of what you may experience 20 years from now. http://judithaross.com/2012/02/26/family-dynamic/ It’s all good, but requires a different kind of attention.
A lovely poem and tribute. Thank you again for sharing your family and inspiring all of us fellow mothers. Merry Christmas to you all!
Such absolutely beautiful pictures. Much to be thankful for, but I know you know that. Keep instilling that love and support for one another that you are creating within your family. It will be something all of you cherish for the rest of your lives. Merry Christmas.
Your oldest daughter has such a classic look. And yet, you can still see her innocence. I love seeing your children together, they all genuinely love and care about each other.
So very true. Thank you for this. Your posts are beautiful and heartfelt and hit home. Happy Holidays to you and your gorgeous gang!
Beautiful! Great photos as always, beautiful children. Thanks for making my days brighter thru your IG posts and here. You are a blessing. Merry Christmas!
Oh you have made me weep. Thank you for being so generous with your family. Your posts really move me.
Merry Christmas from a little person down here in Sydney, Australia x
Jessica, first of all, your hair-cut looks fabulous. This post made me tear up (as usual). There is so much joy and love in your family. I have a 15 month old and am pregnant with my second, I cannot wait to have two children to shower with my love and watch them as their relationship grows. I hope they are as close as Zoe and Jack! That picture of Beau and Jack makes me smile.
Merry Christmas!!! xoxo
Your family is just so beautiful. Merry Christmas!!
Beautiful words and pictures. They tug at my heart as mine are grown and I miss it so. I’m looking forward to grands one day. I must say Theo is as photogenic as the rest of you. He portrays a very proud image! Merry Christmas to you and your family and blessing for a healthy and happy New Year! And, as always, thanks for sharing them with us!
Thank you for another beautiful post, Jessica. Not being a mommy just yet, you make me realize the endless love and feelings my mother (of 4) must have felt and gone through. I hope to only be so lucky.
So beautiful. So true. Also, I’m diggin’ Beau’s painted nails… What a trooper
Thank you. We only have one, but I need to breathe her in more. Thank you x
If only life had a pause button. We’re already in week 6 of our second little bundle of fun and it’s all going by in a flash. Love your posts, a go to for me during those late night feeds with drowsy eyes. Much love to you & your beautiful family xxx
So sweet, thanks for letting me catch up!
