Giveaways

You all probably know this by now, but I have a small issue.  Since moving to Manhattan I have become completely obsessed with strollers.  You see, our strollers here in the city are like our “cars”.  They are our mode of transportation, and they must be fantastic.  They need to feel luxurious without the leather or fancy rims, and drive like a Range Rover over the uneven pavement.  They must accommodate my coffee, a diaper bag, two bags of groceries, the Potette Potty, a Mini Kick Razor Scooter, two toddlers and at least a couple of toys.  I’m not kidding. This is a typical day for us.

I’ve been on my quest now for a year to find the perfect city stroller.  I’ve found myself stranded in the rain pumping flat tires, stuck in the snow with wheels that were too small, unable to get into grocery stores (size), and mending ripped seats.

When the Britax B-Ready arrived at my apartment, I was over the moon.  I was more excited about this stroller than I was on Christmas morning, and it’s surpassed my expectations.  It’s been a dream to have around the city.

As soon as I got it assembled, I took the kids out for a spin to the farmer’s market.  They both promptly fell asleep at 10:30AM (usually they nap at 1:00PM).

I love that it’s in-line, I don’t have to worry about flat tires, both kids are very comfortable in the large seats, they can both sleep comfortably and I can carry all my gear and STILL push with one hand.

It weighs roughly 26 lbs with one seat and no canopy, while the second seat weighs 7 lbs.  It’s a little heavy to carry up and down the subway steps but it didn’t stop me.    If it works in the city, you can pretty much bet that it will work most other places.

We started our family with Britax car seats and strollers and it’s absolutely a go-to, trustworthy brand. I have been thrilled with the performance of the Britax B-Ready.

Key Features of the Britax B-Ready:

  • Second seat in back is optional
  • Both seats have three recline positions
  • Stroller folds with the back seat attached
  • No-Thread adjustable 5-Point Harness
  • Two Canopy’s with ventilation window
  • Large storage space with zipper openings on all sides
  • Infant car seat adapter, adult cup holder, and rain cover are all included
  • Front seat can hold up to 55lbs, Back seat holds up to 35lbs
  • 14 possible confugurations

A few weeks ago I was invited to HP’s Internet Week After Hours Soiree to check out some of their new products.   Some lovely fellow bloggers, friends and we were able to try out their new  HP Photosmart e-All-in-One printers (Liz even won one for her mother!).  I was able to print up high quality photos that I had uploaded to my Snapfish account via the color TouchSmart display.  It even has a wireless option, where you can print from another PC in the home or from your smart phone using using HP ePrintWe were also introduced to  HP Creative Studio, which offers bookmarks, flash cards, and mini journals to keep you on track and record special memories from the year. With each purchase of HP’s Multipurpose Paper, Everyday Photo Paper or Advanced Photo Paper, parents can create their own collage  from the Disney Print Center presented by HP. www.disney.com/printmagic.

HP’s brand, Snapfish, also has a variety of printing options for gifts and such that they offer.  Back-to-school items like personalized Photo Notebooks and Photo Desk Organizers are also great as both parent and grandparent gifts.  We always send something photo personalized to our parents now that we live so far away from everyone.   It’s always a nice touch!  I’ve been quite impressed with the print quality of the pictures that I upload online as well,  even the iPhone photos.

WIN IT:

I’m happy to offer one of my readers (have you subscribed?!) a $50 gift certificate to be used online at Snapfish.com. To enter, just leave a comment telling me one aspect that you find handy about the HP Photosmart e-All-in-One printers or Snapfish’s plethora of personalized products.
